Can you simply walk off the boat to the beach?

Hello, SquireJosh

Actually, that beach is free and is a quick, easy walk from the ship. The green umbrellas with loungers are free to use, but they fill up fast so get there early if you want a chance to have one.  There are also pay chairs and loungers here too. The further you walk down the beach there are a few restaurants, like Jacks Shack, which have chairs as well and food/ drinks.

They umbrellas to the left of the pier are around Margaritaville.  And the ones closer to the water are for hire by locals.

Head to the right and all are free.  Beach on that section can be a bit further away from the water and that water can have rocky bottom. Food and drink available there from Beached Whale.

Best place to hang out is Jack's Shack. Keep walking to the right for about 7 minutes. Great wi fi, people, puppies, and great prices too!

Jack's is to the left, not the right.  Beached Whale is to the right.

Looks like it would be pretty easy to get on and off the ship more than once if you needed to?

Somewhat true.

Long walk down pier.  And as the day grows latter, re-embarcation lines grow longer.

I was just thinking about hanging out near the pier in the morning, going in the ship for lunch, then heading back out again.

squierjosh you can definitely do that. It just may take longer than you expect to get on & off the ship. Also consider "holding your place" on the beach maybe difficult too. We ate a big breakfast, got off the ship early & carried a few snacks with us (protein bars, etc) We really like this port for an easy beach day!
