Independance/Navigator - Sauna/Steam Room

It’s been removed from the Navigator after the Amplification. Still on Indy.

I was on the Navigator beginning of March and had a mini suite where the gym used to be. That whole area where the gym and locker rooms where are now all cabins, both inside, outside and balconies.

The gym has been totally relocated to Deck 12 Aft in a Brand new space. The gym is actually quite nice except the ceilings are low so for tall people using some of the cardio machines it will be problematic. At the Entrance to the gym there's an area with lockers so you can lockup personal items. There are wash rooms(no showers) available in the gym and there's an area to do floor exercises. That's where the only water fountain is located. It's the kind where you can fill up a water bottle, so obviously no sign saying you can't do that.

They still have it but I doubt it will operate till next year. The thing about it that its designed for more than 3 people in it and due to all safety measures these days including social distancing I doubt it will be operating. Maybe next year or something. Same goes for buffet and gym

We sailed on Indy after the 2018 Dry Dock and the sauna and steam room

was still there to use.

Not sure on Navigator sorry.

On Independence is there any type of water fountain in the locker room? Never sailed Royal and looking forward to some steam room time after working out (or to sweat out the hangover haha).

There usually is a drinking fountain in the locker room on Royal's older ships that still have them. Who knows what will happen with steam/sauna facilities once cruising resumes. If they are going to enforce any kind of social distancing, a sauna is really not possible, being an enclosed space, unless it's one person at a time.

There's a water fountain across from the showers in the men's locker room.
