Advice on FCC Please

Hi All, I have a cruise booked for August to Norway. I am due to pay balance and I am deliberating whether to take FCC for the deposit only or pay the balance and await a refund. I have asked travel agent if I decide to take the FCC can I apply the credit to my existing Celebrity cruise booked for June 2021. She has said no it has to be for new cruise. I am sure the Celebrity website says you can. Can someone clarify if you can use the credit on existing booking please?

Yes, you can most definitely use an FCC on an existing booking if it was issued under the CWC program:

 

Are Cruise with Confidence Future Cruise Credits applicable to existing bookings?

Yes, Future Cruise Credits can be used on new or existing bookings for the value of the cruise fare due.

Your TA is wrong.  We applied our FCCs to a e siting booking.

BTW, the FAQ I cited above also appears in the UK site. This isn't restricted to US or Canadian customers as some policies are.

Take the cash and run.  FCC is a scam to keep the cruise lines floating with money for a few days longer...
