Kclovesken Posted June 15, 2020 #1 Share Posted June 15, 2020 Hello :0) I have a comped cruise scheduled in January. I'm curious if the cruise gets canceled will they rebook or just cancel and get a refund? I am wanting to go so would prefer to push back if necessary. What has others experience be? This would be with NCL.
Sand and Seas Posted June 16, 2020 #2 Share Posted June 16, 2020 I haven't had that exact issue myself, but Norwegian's Casinos at Sea has been really good at working with us on our comped cruises (not land based comps). They have worked with us a few times on changes to ships & dates. (They want us to cruise). Would suggest you call them and just ask a 'what if' question. It might depend on which casino gave you the comp and what the original dates the offer is good for. I have seen some on the Norwegian Cruise Critic forum that have been able to re-book so hopefully there would not be a problem for you. As for refunds, one of my CAS comped cruises was cancelled and they offered us a cash refund of my costs, or a 125% Future Cruise Credit. (My costs were just $120 per person Admin Fee plus Port fees). If they cancel, they owe you a refund of what you paid.
CalLuvsCrusingToo Posted June 27, 2020 #3 Share Posted June 27, 2020 I've had many a NCL cruise ala land based casino comps. (Princess too) But my good friend had her comped Alaska cruise for mid August, cancelled by NCL. She didn't do anything. Got notice. They are giving her $1,600 FCC for next time. I don't know exact dates it good thru? But I thought this sounds very generous considering its a comp. As long as NCL stays afloat? Shes good to go when its safe to cruise.
