Maasdam and Veendam

Just checking Marine Traffic and it shows both Maasdam and Veendam heading to the Suez Canal.

Currently Maasdam is doing 8.8 kn and Veendam is 11.9kn.

Any idea where they are heading too?

Are they heading north into the Suez canal from the Red Sea or south from the Mediterranean?  That might help determine where they might be headed.

They are heading from Asia. Veendam is showing as from Singapore and Maasdam from LAX, however over the last couple of days I noticed it in Singapore.

The may be working to repatriate crew members to Europe that they have amalgated from various Carnival Corp vessels. That’s as good a guess as any.

There's an anchorage in Moni Cyprus where several Carnival Group ships are gathered (2 Princess, 2 Seabourn) have been hanging out.  They could be planning to go there:
