It is our last full day and it is always bittersweet.  We picked up our photos at Pixels and did our packing for our departure tomorrow.

Larry was happy to see the Sgt. Major one last time as well.

Jay and Diane never went on a honeymoon so this cruise was their belated honeymoon.  Our wait staff brought out a cake and sang for them.DSCN2001.thumb.JPG.66550cfc38cc52c27e5cb47ff3925480.JPG

Our dining team; Head waitress Maja, Assistant waiters, I Gede and I Wayans.  They were amazing the entire cruise.

We said goodbye to our new friends, John and Rebecca.

Saying goodbye to our room steward, Felix.  I still keep in contact with him via Facebook.  He took great care of us.  He is currently at home in India after spending months on a ship sailing back home.

Departure day, aka, the day we got kicked off the ship until the next one.  We had to be out of our rooms by 8:30 am so we went up and had breakfast in the Cucina del Capitano area.  We had a view out the back windows and just hung out until almost the last call.  We had no problem with finding our luggage or going through customs.  We found Cortrans and headed to the airport.  We had hours before our flight and just hung out in line.  Orlando is seriously one of the worst airports for TSA Security.  There are millions of lines that all go into one central spot so it takes forever to get through.

We had an uneventful flight home.

Final thoughts...

We had a great cruise and the Sunshine was a fun ship.  A lot of people complain about the ship being hard to navigate but we never had any problems.

We loved all of the ports.  Barbados was hands down our favorite and we would love to go back.  San Juan was also a hit in our book.

Cruising is the best way to vacation and it is what you make it.  There were a few hiccups along the way but it was an amazing trip.

Fair winds and following seas!

Thanks again!  It's so nice to read new reviews in a time when they're in scarce supply. 😁

Thanks for reading it!  It was fun reliving the trip even though I struggled with the details of what we did on our sea days and in the evenings.

Nah, you did great!  There’s no way I could have relived a trip from that long ago and keep it even half as accurate as you did - even with notes!  👍🏻👍🏻

What a wonderful review! I loved your photos and descriptions of everything. This REALLY made me miss cruising. I'm looking at Journey's cruises now if our February cruise gets cancelled. Thank you for all your hard work!

We loved the Journeys cruise and 13 days was amazing.  I wasn't sure I would like a long cruise and I would have been happy staying on for much longer!  7 days just isn't going to cut it anymore.
