Best time of year (month)

Looking to book an Alaska cruise...when is the best time to go?

It would be nice to see whales, etc...

There is no best.     There are highlights any time you go.      Whales are seen the entire Alaska cruise season.  

 

I suggest you figure out ---, exactly, -  what touring you want to include,   as that is what will have possible  time frame limits.   

 

If you are just starting out your research-   you have several basic choices to make first.    A good start is to take a look at each inside passage port and rank your preference,  there are only 6.   Know what your touring choice would be.
