I don't know that I personally believe this, but here you go.   The frustrating thing is constantly being shown numbers, and knowing they are incomplete or mathematically irrelevant.  I keep trying to tell my wife, be safe, do the things to limit your risk, and STOP watching the ticker on cable news every night.  The basic picture will not change anytime soon.  It isn't going away.  It ebbs, we relax, it flows back up (by state or region).  Given the testing and data reporting, the exact numbers are almost irrelevant.  Is the spread increasing exponentially?  What is the RT? I hope those numbers are proportionate throughout unidentified positive cases.

Have any of you looked at https://www.covidexitstrategy.org/

The data has the same flaws, but it is a fairly comprehensive look.

"Our best estimate right now is that for every case that's reported, there are actually 10 other infections" - Dr Redfield

"This virus causes so much asymptomatic infection"

Sorry was a little off - CDC says 10x

Cable news is rat poison.  Their reporting of COVID19 has been incredibly dishonest, and adding fuel to the fear porn fire.

Yeah I don't watch it and am honestly neutral on the whole fake news thing because I don't watch it.  BUT, the Covid reporting has been straight fear peddling at its best.

Likewise!

My parents act like everyone dies from Covid - all they consume is evening news.   Literally had to pull up the CDC data and show them how ignorant they were.
