Just wondering if you're familiar with Kathy Reichs.  A frequent lecturer on Crystal she is a forensic scientist and author who is also the inspiration for the "Bones" TV series.  I once served with her on a volunteer excursion painting a nursery floor in Fiji.

I've read her Bones series - I believe I'm up to date. Books have a different family background and locations setting for Temperance Brennan's cases.

I think I have read all her books! This is my favourite genre. There are Several other authors in this genre among them Ann cleaves, Patricia Cornwell, Val mcdermid, Ian rankin, Nevada Barr etc. Always willing to explore new authors
