We are thinking about doing this cruise on December 27th and was wonder what the procedure is coming from the United States? Thanks for any information.

SeaDream can provide current specific details but the most pertinent are a negative COVID PCR test taken less than 72 hours prior to arrival at Barbados.  That could be a challenge for the Dec. 27 voyage in light of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  If arriving the day of departure, you will also need to take an approved transfer from the airport to the port.  If arriving earlier, there are additional quarantine and testing protocols that may be required.

Seems to be the question of the season! We're on the 12/27 departure and have to get tested on 12/24. We're spending 12/26 in MIA then flying to BGI 12/27 and hopefully going straight to ship with our negative test. Go to the Barbados website and you'll see all the protocols. Hopefully after a few trips under their belt, our beloved SeaDream will have a good system in place!

That would be our plans. We would fly from Dallas to Miami on the 26th and on the 27th to BGI. Where do you plan on getting the test done and how long will it take them? Thanks

There seems to be numerous bloggers on the SD current Barbados cruise. The Points Guy wrote an interesting first day review of his experience traveling from Philly to Barbados and boarding the ship, testing and champagne, and dining el-fresco, etc. Check it out as he will be reporting more this week.  Also, I have seen many criticisms of SD's no-mask policy as "irresponsible".  Hope they don't succumb to the fright mongers (who aren't going anywhere for awhile).

Does anybody know if you're actually allowed off in the ports? I've been following The Points Guy and journalist Sue Bryant and it just seems as though the ship is anchoring away from the islands and all you can do it snorkel/swim?

This would be very important to know  - anxious to find out
