So getting kicked off the Sun in March of this year when cruising shut down made us sad. Finding out yesterday that not only am I COVID positive, but our March 2021 cruise was cancelled made us even sadder. So seeing as how we have a whole butt load of FCC to use, we decided to book the Garden Villa for March 2022! I know about the included bottles of alcohol and the Butler and concierge, having sailed in the Haven multiple times, but I want to know the special things about this GV. Tell me all of the good stuff!

your own jacuzzi, your own sun deck, 3 bedrooms, a grand piano. its the top of the line and probably can compare with any luxury suite on any other ship. i salivate over the thought of booking a garden villa suite. funds, limit this desire, so i stick with the haven, also, the g.v. is over 4,000 sq ft.

enjoy, but  you get the butler and concierge with any haven suite, or on any ncl vessel that has a suite (spirit) but not a haven.

the g.v. is great if youre going with 4-6 other people, if not you'll get lost in the shuffle, way to uneccasry for just 2 people

better idea is to book possible an owners suite and save some of the fcc for another cruise.

By all means, find another couple to join you!!!!!  You will love the GV!  We did it on a Bermuda cruise when my daughter graduated from college.  We had 7 people total (one slept on the couch).  You could have the 3rd couple pay the price of an OS to you and everyone would be ahead!  We had the one that included a galley....so we had a sink, refrigerator, dishes, coffee maker, etc.  It was great when we were full from dessert and the butler stored our Tiramisu in our fridge for the next time we were hungry!

We also had dinner on our balcony.  The butler served it course by course for just the 7 of us.  One night we had a specialty rest. based upon our latitudes status, so the kids ate at the dining room table.

There is an elevator that will go to your suite (not in, but just outside), so anytime you want to get on or off the ship, your butler will escort you directly to the front of any line.

I am still awaiting a chance to book both GV's for family.  You can open up the living room and upper balcony so they are one BIG area and you have basically a balcony that goes from one side of the ship to the other.  Panama Canal, I'm looking at YOU!

Have a great trip.....you won't even want to get off the ship!!!!  But please, don't waste that 3rd bedroom...let someone else also have that exceptional experience!

Thanks for the tips! We have the one with the galley and will definitely take advantage of the dessert storage. All the bedrooms will be filled- hubby and I in one, my mom in the other large one and my daughter (17) will be in the smallest of the 3. I’m already struggling with the idea of getting off of the ship in ports we’ve been to before!

Thanks for your input. There’s 4 of us going. We thought about 2 owners suites, but our dream has always been the GV and this is the one time it may be attainable. I also heard something about limo service?

Dawn is not only a fabulous ship but has one of the nicest GVs in the fleet. You will love it! The concierge will arrange a limo from disembarkation to the airport. It's a lovely way to end a cruise.

We had the one with the galley. It was just the two of us as it was a last minute upsell. It was unreal the size the 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Outside a pergola with a giant table. Our own hot tub and sauna. Above we had a gigantic deck that could hold a hundred people no problem. The wooden remote controlled blinds on the windows. TVs and a grand piano. Sometimes we didn’t know if the other was in the villa. Service was unreal and all the venues once they knew you were in the villa they bent over backwards. The concierge followed around to make sure we were in the villa. Once in a lifetime trip

Trust me, once staff know you are in the GV, you will get the best of the best service.  Not the same as if you are in any other suite, way beyond that!!

I've been in the Royal Suites on several Royal Caribbean cruises.  Never heard the word "no."  Neither will you!! Please enjoy!!  Just ask, if they were to say , "no," ask "why not?"  Trust me-it will happen!

Have a blast!!!

Warning! When we booked our first GV, back in 2015 on the Star, we too thought it was a once in a life time trip!  Now, I sit here in 2020 having been in the GV on the Star, Jewel, 2 weeks on the Dawn, and now an Alaskan GV voyage on the Jewel is planned for 2022. The GV is addicting!  The prices vary greatly depending on where and when you go, so we just look for great GV deals and book them!

Remember me as I told you so! 🙂
