Atlantic Canada Posted December 24, 2020 #1 Share Posted December 24, 2020 Just heard our guaranteed cabin for the New York to Ft Lauderdale cruise on the Caribbean Princess November 2021 have been assigned. WE are on Riveria deck 311 and our friends are in 314. Has anyone been in either of those cabins or in the vicinity of them? Any positive or negatives you can share would be appreciated. When we look at Riveria deck and the Lido deck above us we wonder about being on that deck.
Rare Essiesmom Posted December 24, 2020 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2020 Well, you are on opposite sides of the ship - one starboard, one port. They are under the very entrance to the lido deck from the forward cabins on lido, so I wouldn't worry about noise. EM
skynight Posted December 25, 2020 #3 Share Posted December 25, 2020 Both are standard balcony cat. cabins with a 9' x 4' balcony. They are directly under the entrances to Lido deck cabins next to the Salty Dog Grill (starboard) and Slices (port). You may hear some foot noise from above but this area gets quiet around 10pm. The cabins are on opposite sides of the ship. You will have to walk through the elevator area to visit.

June 26 2022 British Isles cabin R503. Any info on this ship - Princess Cruises - Cruise Critic Community I understand the deck plan is a bit different between the Crown and the Caribbean but, the same rules would apply. You are right under the end of the wooden deck and door into the cabin area. If you are sensitive to noise in the very least, I don't see you being happy in these assignments. Being assigned a room in that exact location was the last time we've accepted a guarantee cabin. BTW, the noise won't end after 10 ... security walks the decks at night and you can hear their footsteps overhead pretty much on and off all night. Plus, you will hear chair scraping above early morning. Usually, with a guarantee, they will allow you to move within the same category. If you are a sound sleeper or hard of hearing, you'd be fine but, I would just ask to move forward of the stairs / elevator if it were me.
