Kanebaby Posted February 14, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2006 We will be in Cozumel and i was wondering if anyone knows how far Carlos N Charlie's is from the dock? We are taking the Mayan Ruins tour and was wondering if we would have time to stop by before we have to get back to the Grandeur. Thanks so much! TTCruiser Posted February 14, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Carlos n' Charlies is no more than a 5 minute (if that) cab ride from the pier.
OliverTheCat Posted February 14, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2006 It depends on what dock your tender drops you off at. If its downtown then you are right there!
truffles2 Posted February 14, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Be advised that someone posted (in the past few day) of using their credit card there and no where else....and came home to find thousands charged on their card:eek:
AlDubya Posted February 14, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2006 From where the Mariner dropped us off... it was a 5 minute cab right... or more aptly put, a $6 per person cab ride.
glgolfer Posted February 14, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Just off the Mariner 5 Feb and we tendered into downtown. Carlos & Charlies was right there. Don't know how often this happens. We were originally told we would get free cab ride tickets from the International Dock area, then it was changed the day before we got to Cozumel to the downtown pier with everything withineasy walking distance. vermontvoyager Posted February 15, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Anyone know if Senor Frogs near the International Pier is open again ? They were totally wiped out from Hurricane Wilma and I have not heard whether they were up and running again. We were there 1 week to the day before Wilma struck and had a great time . Bob:)
AlDubya Posted February 15, 2006 #10 Share Posted February 15, 2006 I think you're talking about Senor Frogs and a half. That is the one right on the pier. The better one is downtown right above Carlos N' Charlies. If Carlos N' Charlies is up and running, then I image Senor Frogs is as well.
signman Posted February 15, 2006 #11 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Senor Frogs is not open. Was just there 2 weeks ago.

hdawson Posted February 15, 2006 #14 Share Posted February 15, 2006 I stand corrected. I had relied on what I "thought" I had read. Sorry.
signman Posted February 15, 2006 #15 Share Posted February 15, 2006 As stated, and I was there on 2/4/06, C&C very much in business and SF not open.
richbum Posted February 15, 2006 #16 Share Posted February 15, 2006 If you are taking the tour, they take a tender directly from your ship to the ruins, and then back to the ship. At least that is how they did it a few weeks ago on Navigator. They were the 1st ones off, and the last to come back. Have a great cruise!
vickiw0318 Posted February 15, 2006 #17 Share Posted February 15, 2006 The boat back from the ruins didn't get back to the Splendour until 15 minutes before the ship left Cozumel.
jemingway Posted February 17, 2006 #18 Share Posted February 17, 2006 We were in Cozumel last Saturday(2/11) on the Enchantment. :D The Slendour was there also. Both were anchored next to the destroyed downtown pier, so it was a very short tender ride that dropped you off about 1000 feet from Carlos and Charlie's which was definitely going strong. Senor Frog's upstairs was open for business, but temporarily closed for the afternoon for some reason.C&C was wild. Girls kissing and fondling each other:eek: ; everyone doing the "Grind" on the dance floor ; drunk girls doing tabletop dances like strippers as strangers stuffed dollars down their shorts:o . It was quite the experience. I had been several times before, but it was never this wild.
christineann Posted February 18, 2006 #19 Share Posted February 18, 2006 I went to C&C's in June 2003 because some friends said I just had to go there. At 3:00 in the afternoon, there was a woman older than I am (admit - 40's) who was hammered, dancing on the table. It certainly was interesting! wolfcathorse Posted February 18, 2006 #20 Share Posted February 18, 2006 When we were at Cozumel 2-9-06, all 3 RCI ships (Grandeur, Legend, Navigator) tendered at the Punta Langosta pier. The Grand Princess and a Carnival ship were tendering down at the International Pier. 4 of our tablemates spent the day at C & C, and it showed! :D
