Cap'n Ron Posted June 6, 2021 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2021 (edited) Has anyone else noticed that Carnival has removed all Liberty sailings until November? We are booked on the Sept. 3rd sailing, and now I am nervous that it is going to be cancelled. Seems odd that they removed these sailings so far out. Cap'n Ron Posted June 6, 2021 Author #3 Share Posted June 6, 2021 That's a good point, hadn't thought of that. So far it is still in my planner.
firefly333 Posted June 6, 2021 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2021 I've read they think mardi gras will be announced from PC next. Does look like something is up to me too.

Interesting, I wonder if it got pulled ahead then or they aren't going to bother with crewing her up for just a few sailings prior to dry dock. Bummer. Cap'n Ron Posted June 7, 2021 Author #7 Share Posted June 7, 2021 I messaged John Heald on his page and he responded with the following regarding potential cancellations, so maybe all is good. Per John - No, absolutely not. Please don’t worry. We have not canceled any other cruises. We will be releasing the protocols this week and this will be why some of the sailings on different ships have been removed. I will share all the news this week but I have no doubt we will see you sailing as planned and having the best of times. Thanks so much.
gnocchi_mommy Posted June 21, 2021 #8 Share Posted June 21, 2021 @Cap'n Ron We are booked for 9/10 and when I posted on John Heald's page last week I got a slightly different response that left me less optimistic... "Hello Kristy, at this time we have advised only on July and August sailings, as soon as we have news we will let you know. Thanks, Jacinta"
Cap'n Ron Posted June 21, 2021 Author #9 Share Posted June 21, 2021 Yeah, we decided to change to the Mardi Gras for that week, as I am not confident they will bring the Liberty back before her dry dock.
gnocchi_mommy Posted June 21, 2021 #10 Share Posted June 21, 2021 I'm so tempted to move ours to another ship but I'd lose a $500 OBC if I did (casino promo) so torn between doing just that- or paying final payment and waiting to see if it cancels and then hoping there;s still space on another ship. Frustrating, I understand how precarious it is right now for the cruise industry but if they know it's not going to sail I wish they'd cancel before final payment date.
Qchell Posted June 21, 2021 #11 Share Posted June 21, 2021 I have a cruise booked on the Sunshine in September. It has not been searchable for a number of weeks now, the Carnival website is not showing any cruises out of Charleston (where Sunshine is currently) until November, but the cruise is still showing on my booking page. I watched a video this morning of someone who just cruised on another cruise line and he felt like the ship was only about 30% full. It could be the cruises have reached their "max" capacity for post-pandemic cruises currently and that is why many of us have cruises booked, but they are no longer showing up on the website.
