Happy Day! Port Everglades webcam

After a very long wait, today we officially return to sailing from the USA! Even though this is a Celebrity Ship, I think the entire cruise community can breathe a collective sigh of relief. We have much yet to overcome, but when it all shakes out, we are all here because we love cruising and IMO today is a day to celebrate. We should be able to see the first passengers onboard shortly and I know I'll be toasting at sail away.

OMGOSH........ I couldn't agree more! I've been cruising since 1987 and she is absolutely my favorite. Ironic that the Equinox is shown in one of the webcams, because that was where I had the pleasure of meeting Capt Kate. Exceptional.

And what is NCL waiting for again? Starting their first Caribbean cruise in September during the peak of hurricane season and when everyone is most likely returning to the office/schools? Celebrity, RCL are eating their lunch and they decide to start with Alaska out of all the choices lol.

Drove by on my way home last night and the edge was all lit up.  Even this afternoon it looks beautiful. Can’t wait to be on the encore in august

The webcam is zoomed in on the Edge. You can see people out on their balconies and walking around topside. I wish every single person on that ship the absolute best of times!

The people on that tugboat must be dizzy, it just keeps spinning and spinning... and I'm not sure I"ve ever heard such a long tooting celebration!

Both cameras are on her..... the tugboat is still spinning and the tooting is still tooting!! Now it sounds like the Equinox might be chiming in too

She has made the turn and is sailing out of the Port Everglades channel. Tug boat still spinning and the horns still blowing. That was a VERY long one year, three months, & three weeks to wait, but the day is finally here!!
