Rare Fly and Sail Posted July 17, 2021 #1 Share Posted July 17, 2021 Just managed to move an Alaska sailing that I pushed into 2022 back into this year, July 30th ex Seattle to be specific. Since these are now wholly domestic itineraries can someone chime in on the procedures regarding customs and other checks? Just an ID check or a full customs procedure? I now have like $800 OBC for that week after all the cancellations, no idea what to spend that on really since I don't buy alcohol. Do we have a registry here what Celebrity OBC can be used for? TMLAalum Posted July 17, 2021 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2021 No Celebrity cruises sail from Seattle until next Friday, July 23. Suggestion that you post on that roll call (millennium) to ask members to report their experiences on this, the Celebrity, forum. I am interested too but we don't sail until 9/10. OBC can be used for specialty dining, jewelry or anything for sale in the shops, shore excursions, etc.
Fouremco Posted July 17, 2021 #3 Share Posted July 17, 2021 Google "cruisestitch obc list" to find her excellent and extensive list of things to spend OBC on. Or wait for @cruisestitch to respond to this post.
Rare cruisestitch Posted July 17, 2021 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2021 Here I am…. Because this gets asked so often I've compiled a list of things to spend OBC on. The only thing I know of now that you CAN'T buy with OBC is a deposit on a Future Cruise. You need a credit card for that. There may some game in the casino that is cash only. Otherwise, here you go: Acupuncture Airport transfers Alcove Rental (some ships) Apple products etc. and Ilounge classes Art Auctions Babysitting Barber Shop services (Edge only) Beverages -- Alcoholic, carbonated soft drinks, specialty coffees and teas, bottled water Bingo Bottles of wine Casino Chef’s Table Duty free liquor and cigarettes Extra cost entrees and other items in Main Dining Room and specialty restaurants Extend Your Stay program Fitness classes Flowers Gelato Gift shop souvenirs, purses, cosmetics, clothing, jewelry, etc. Gratuities, and extra gratuities Guests dining with you in Luminae (applies to Suite Passengers only) Guest entertainers' CD's and DVD's Hair and nail salon Hollywood hot glass experiences (some ships) Internet Laundry/pressing/drycleaning Luggage Valet Martini Flights Medical Center purchases (but not treatments) Mini bar Portrait photo sessions Pay-per-view movies Persian Gardens passes Personal Training Sessions Photos & cameras Room service up charge items, and late night delivery fee Shore Excursions Shuttle to town (some ports) Spa -- massages and treatments Specialty restaurants Teeth Whitening Telephone calls using ship's system Transfer to another passenger's account Voyage in Review DVD Wine and liquor tastings Zumba

I too will be on the July 30 cruise. I called Celebrity and they will be requiring Passports and original Covid vaccination cards to board the ship. They will be very strict on the boarding process so you will need to arrive during your assigned time, unless you are in a Suite, Aqua Class or higher and/or Casino invited Guest.

I'm on a MGM paid cruise booked via Blue Chip Club and at least as per the Noir benefits I should have free range when to check in. However the time they assigned to me ~ 3pm works perfect for me. I was told as well that passports are required but couldn't get an answer if there is an actual customs and immigration process involved at any time. Rare iamaqt2 Posted July 27, 2021 #7 Share Posted July 27, 2021 I am also on this cruise. Note that even though Celebrity documents keep saying Pier 91 embarkation, in the fine print it is actually Pier 66 embarkation, and Pier 91 disembarkation. Also there is an informal Meet and Mingle at 5 pm before sailaway at the Sunset Bar if you'd like to join some fellow CC'rs.
Rare Fly and Sail Posted July 27, 2021 Author #8 Share Posted July 27, 2021 I'm rather excited about these new app muster drills and all other functions implemented with the app which was quite horrible before.
