Zhaan Posted August 8, 2021 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2021 On Carnival's official website, they mention their COVID policies here: https://www.carnival.com/legal/covid-19-legal-notices/covid-19-guest-protocols At the bottom of the page they list the ships/cruises this applies to, but it only lists cruises through October 2021. We're interested in a cruise in December on the Sunshine out of Charleston. I tried calling Carnival and their wait was too long and I also tried emailing and no response. Does anyone know if this policy really applies to all cruises by Carnival whether listed or not, or if different cruises by Carnival actually have different policies? Thanks! Rare shof515 Posted August 8, 2021 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2021 there is alot of that can happen between now and then. protocols can quickly change. right now there is no answer what the covid situation will look like after October. if things improve and the cases trend downward after this current wave then hopefully by november the protocols will be reduced
Noami Posted August 8, 2021 #4 Share Posted August 8, 2021 (edited) COVID-delta abruptly took sharp downward trends in India and the UK, so presumably everyone’s hoping/expecting we’ll have a similar trajectory here. They actually started opening back up and relaxing protocols *before* the downswing really picked up steam. No need to inspire a rush of cancellations if they turn out to be unneeded. K_e_short Posted August 9, 2021 #5 Share Posted August 9, 2021 Carnival is slowly starting up their ships based on what is currently happening. Even though you may see a cruise listed on their website from November 1st onward, it may in fact get cancelled when they make the next round of announcements. They did that in July with Sept/Oct sailings. I would read the cancellation conditions and perhaps book to get the cabin you want, knowing it may get cancelled or you may have some strict Covid restrictions. That way you can get your money back.
