Need a NICE hotel in san juan

I'm sending my son to san juan on a honeymoon next month, can anyone recommend a very nice hotel on the beach.  I'm hoping someone has stayed recently, I've stayed at the "intercontinential hotel" now Royal Sonesta, I believe, and it was very nice, but that was years ago.

We’re staying here for our (hopefully) upcoming cruise. It seems very nice and is adults only... usually a plus for honeymooners in my book!

Three of our favorite places on the beach in San Juan are the El San Juan, Caribe Hilton, or for something more moderately priced, the Courtyard by Marriot Isla Verde.

The hotel named by the previous poster isn't on the beach. it's in Old San Juan.

Royal Sonesta/Intercontinental meets my definition of "nice hotel" for sure--we stayed for a conference 5 years ago: balcony with ocean view, gorgeous pool area, and right on the beach.
