Giving someone RCCL gift certificates

How do they work, can you use them for anything? I would like to help them pay the gratuities but it doesn't sound like you can use them for that purpose. The cruise is fully paid already. Can they use to purchase drinks or excursions?  Thanks

I have several gift certificates I'll use to pay my balance for an up coming cruise.

The person you want to give it to can apply it as OBC...they just have to do that 10

days before they sail. They can then use that OBC however they wish.
