OBC When Rebooking Canceled Cruise Am I Crazy or Does This Make Sense

First of all, I am still waiting for CCL to assign me a new PVP since the last 2 have evidently left CCL - so I can't get anyone to explain this and I tried asking two people when I was rebooking this.

I had a November 4 day cruise on the Paradise that they cancelled.  This was already a rescheduled cruise due to another cancellation (it may have even been the second attempt).  Okay so it was a 4 day and with all the cancellation OBC and credit for paying more on the original cruise, I had an OBC of $789.26.  I had a Repeat offer from the casino for my cruise last week, so I thought I'd use this as the replacement.  I am now sailing on a 6 day Pride cruise in December.  The OBC for a 4 day was $300 for a rebook and the OBC for 6 days or more should be $600.  The price of the this cruise is basically port charges and tax for an extended balcony because the Repeat offer.

So, how is it possible that my total OBC on this cruise is $697.14??  Shouldn't it be at least $300 more than the original since I went from $300 OBC to $600 OBC on the rebook?  The first person I talked to who was booking the new cruise said that I should be able to keep my original OBC and get the extra $600 - but when I got switched over to the person who deals with the $$ part she said that it was less because the original included the OBC for rebook and you couldn't get that again.  BTW the OBC on both cruises included the $200 OBC from the casino.

When she couldn't explain it better than that, she said that I could  ask my new PVP when he/she is assigned.  Was suppose to be 48 hours for that PVP email - it's been 7 days.

I know this stuff can be confusing, but I have rescheduled at least 3 different cruises due to cancellations, and I have never had less OBC on a rebook.

Am I missing something?

OBC from canceled cruises will not stack. Since yours is a 4-night cruise, you only get $300. That $300 is split between Pax1 and Pax2. I don't know if there were 2 people in your booking, but that is how it is done. Your original booked cruise gave you OBC from cancelation alone. Your recent cancelation will give you $300 total OBC for all canceled cruises, nothing more. Even if you book a 6+ night cruise now, you still only get $300 OBC is the same pax are on the new cruise. As for other OBC, it all depends on what is being offered. Just because you had it on the canceled cruise does not mean it is on the new cruise. It is very possible that you have less in OBC on a new booking.

If it were me, I would document every single penny paid out on separate line items in a spreadsheet. Identify which you understand and agree with. Then, the ones you don't understand, contact Carnival to get an understanding.

I had a 7-night cruise canceled and received $600 OBC.  I then booked a 4-night cruise that would have had the $600 OBC except it was cancelled.  When I rebooked again, I received only $300 OBC because the most recent cancelled cruise was only 4 nights.  Seems unfair, but that is the way it works.

I've had numerous cancelled and re-booked cruises, but each time I rebooked the initial cancelled cruise I ended up with more OBC.   I guess this time it somehow worked out differently.  I'm pretty good with logical thinking, but this one was beyond me lol.

I have a solo cabin booked next door to my sister and her daughter and all the same passengers and configuration as the initial cruise.

I shouldn't be so selfish - I went from a small inside cabin on the Paradise to an extended balcony on the Pride (strictly due to casino bounce back offer).

I just couldn't understand how they came up with the OBC, but I'll get over it.

I appreciate being able to cruise again!!!
