On board credits - pay for specialty dining for others?

We have done this many times while onboard when dining together with people. We let the person seating us or our server know all the meals will be charged to our cabin.   The charges go on our folio and any OBC is applied.

if you want to make it a gift (they dine without you) the  best option would be to visit passenger services once onboard and tell them you want to gift the meal to your friends in cabin XXX . I haven’t tried this but it seems like a logical place to start.

If you have one of the balconies that would accommodate four people, having an Ultimate Balcony Dinner would be a great way to treat them. It's our favorite way to celebrate an occasion on a cruise.

Great idea!  Will have to save it for next time, just a regular balcony this cruise.
