Any idea of the best jerk food restaurants near the port in Ocho Rios . Has any body been to scotches? How far is it from the port. Any idea how much a cab would

cost to get there. Also has anyone ever gone to the jerk center in town. Is is walkable from the dock.

Scotchies is amazing!  We've been to the one in Montego Bay many times (I've literally asked tour bus drivers to stop there on the way back to the airport a few times).  We've not been to the one near Ocho Rios, which I see is about 20 minutes from the cruise port.  Much closer is the Ocho Rios Jerk Center.  It's been years since we've been there, and I don't recall it as being quite as good as Scotchies, but it is good.

Scotchie's is 100% worth the drive there! Been several times when visiting Ocho Rios and it's always great! Not sure what else you're doing in Ocho Rios, but if you're doing any private tours anywhere else, see if they will add in a stop at Scotchie's. We've done that several times and it has worked out great! Our tour driver just takes us there and waits for us to eat usually after the rest of the tour is completed. Then they drive us back to the ship.
