Disney-daft Posted September 25, 2021 #1 Share Posted September 25, 2021 Sailing on Scarlet Lady in the US will be my first cruise from America though we've cruised in Europe before. We will be in the USA before the cruise and on the final day are heading directly from the ship to the airport. Because of this, we will be shopping for bits and pieces before we board the ship - including food (things we can't get in the UK like candy etc.). Will it be a problem to have food we purchased in the USA brought back through US customs after the cruise? Thanks for any help 🙂
Rare 1025cruise Posted September 25, 2021 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2021 Your bigger issue is whether or not it will be allowed on the ship in the first place.
Rare sid_9169 Posted September 25, 2021 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2021 As long as it's packaged food, I don't think you'll have a problem... Check out their list of items that aren't allowed on their website under FAQ's

Disney-daft Posted September 26, 2021 Author #5 Share Posted September 26, 2021 Thanks for the info... We actually contacted sailor services as the FAQs previously said no food except by permission, so we emailed and they confirmed the food items we were planning to bring were fine. Shortly after that, the FAQs changed too. Hopefully there will be no problem going back through customs after the cruise 🙂
