PittsburghNative Posted October 6, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2021 Per their website, I see the zoo is closed but the aquarium is open. Is this place worth visiting or should I skip it?

AnitaVacation Posted October 7, 2021 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2021 well...I would say definitely go, but if the zoo is closed, that's the best part...the aquarium part is pretty small, the museum is also small, but interesting...the zoo is the big attraction...I wonder why it's closed? covid?? too bad..... The website says the zoo is closed due to the COVID spike. I was looking forward to visiting this place, but not if I can only see the aquarium. If it were open and you are traveling with kids they would enjoy it.
bjtravelnews Posted November 3, 2021 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2021 I have been. If both the zoo and aquarium are open, then definitely worth it - especially if you have kids. We used the local bus. Did the zoo/aquarium in the morning and the caves in the afternoon, with stop at the Swizzle Inn, across the street and a short walk up the hill from the entrance to the caves. HowardK Posted November 6, 2021 #7 Share Posted November 6, 2021 I was planning on going in 2020 and regret skipping it in 2018 😞 I hope it reopens.
