jfbbarry Posted October 12, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2021 I'm looking at a M4 cabin on the Epic, unfortunately they all have a connecting room attached. Can anyone please tell me if you can hear the other people in the next cabin? How noisy is it? Thanks
Rare BirdTravels Posted October 13, 2021 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2021 No real noise. But you do give up one of your closets if you have a connecting door.
MoCruiseFan Posted October 13, 2021 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2021 All connecting rooms are attached, that is what a connecting room is (as opposed to adjoining). There is neither a noise nor a safety issue. the connection is two doors back to back, one in each cabin. each cabin's door lock independently. missnd Posted October 13, 2021 #4 Share Posted October 13, 2021 My last cruise was in 2019 on the Epic in a studio cabin with a connecting room. I could hear all kinds of things from the next room, including a ton of coughing and nose blowing. Guess who was also sick after a couple of days? Yep. Never again. Maybe (hopefully) it isn't so bad in a balcony?

pe4all Posted October 14, 2021 #6 Share Posted October 14, 2021 We have had connecting balcony cabins with our kids. They were very quiet, yet we could hear a sneeze or cough, or even an argument at times. We have a rule - never get connecting rooms on a cruise or hotel if it is not family connected to us.
