Air2Sea and stopover?

Just curious if it is possible to do a stopover when using Air2Sea? We sail out of Barcelona but are hoping to spend a couple of days in London before the cruise. Wasn’t sure if that was possible when booking flights through Air2Sea.

You may want to call A2S and confirm if it is possible vs asking here because policies 'may have' changed since anyone has used A2S...

One thing to remember....whenever there is an international break between flight of over 24 hours, you no longer have a "connection" but you have a "stopover".  (Both of which are specific technical terms of art in the industry).  This means that the "fare" is not USA-BCN, but now an addition of USA-LHR and LHR-BCN.  This would be for both published and negotiated rates.

I say this because the likelihood of stand-alone LHR-BCN negotiated rates is likely low or may be allocated just for UK guests.

There are exceptions to this stopover rule - usually when the airline is closely associated with the country of the connection, so they have "free stopover" promotions to generate tourist interest and revenue.  Examples in the past have been Turkish at IST, Korean at ICN, Singapore at SIN, Cathay at HKG, and Emirates at DXB.  But these are specifically spelled out in the airline's fare rules.  Can't remember BA ever doing this at LHR.

So my answer is who knows with A2S.  And you can definitely do that with other airlines directly - but know you are now buying two one-way tickets, rather than a "through" fare from USA to BCN.  (And similar on the return if you wanted it then)

Use the multi-city option when wanting a stop-over. Of course pricing will be reflected.
