Annual Insurance before final payment on cruise

Have a final payment coming up on cruise. Want an annual plan. Understand annual plan cannot start till 60 days before start date of cruise. Which is April 2022 So do we purchase plan now to ensure coverage before final payment and then use start date in 2022 ?

Who told you this? The plans I know don't have this restriction.

Trying to decide between GeoBlue and Allianz. We have been told start date must be no later than 60 days after purchase. Trying to purchase before final payment of first cruise is due.
