Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted October 29, 2021 Author #51 Share Posted October 29, 2021 I'm not a big fan of Guy's Burgers but I got some swiss cheese at the deli (center of pic), took it to Guy's and requested a fresh made burger with swiss. They were happy to do it.
Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted October 29, 2021 Author #52 Share Posted October 29, 2021 I like the Hub app for a lot of it's functionality but my daughter and I both miss paper menus. Even in the Steakhouse they expect you to use your phone to view the menu. One thing I like is the Account Summary. Lots of details when you click on many items. For example, when you click on the tips, you see details...
Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted October 29, 2021 Author #53 Share Posted October 29, 2021 (edited) I remember a thread about no WS on Carnival. But they are showing the games in the sports bar and casino. Here's what the Fun Times looks like on The Hub... Edited October 29, 2021 by IntrepidFromDC
Momma1980 Posted October 29, 2021 #54 Share Posted October 29, 2021 Hello! I hope you are having a great cruise. Wondering if you noticed what day the Chef’s Table dinner was? Also, did you catch what movies they are showing on deck? Thank you!

WhiteOptima Posted October 30, 2021 #56 Share Posted October 30, 2021 1) that boat better be fine for us to get to Panama Canal or they better have a backup boat pulling into Baltimore Sunday! 2) thanks for Steakhouse info. Seems they are hit and miss with the steak so this might me an opportunity to try something different because we plan on going at least twice. 3).last time you were on Serenity was closed in the evening. Is that still the case? Thank you!

Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted October 30, 2021 Author #59 Share Posted October 30, 2021 The sushi was very average, kinda like what you would get at the grocery store or mall.

Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted October 30, 2021 Author #61 Share Posted October 30, 2021 Last day and the casino is packed. Two promotions today, Hot Seat and Fireball. A guy won over $9,500 on a royal flush on the Ultimate Hold'em table yesterday. He gave everyone a black chip and the house bought a round of drinks for everyone while they reviewed the video. Good times!

Rare IntrepidFromDC Posted October 31, 2021 Author #64 Share Posted October 31, 2021 Self-debarkation was smooth just like the 9/12 sailing - went to Butterflies Lounge at 8:30am and we were off the ship at 8:40am, only waited three minutes for the Uber, home about 9:30am. Great to see the dogs and ferrets. Probably going to nap before NFL starts. This was Pride's last return to Baltimore, we get the Legend next. Platinum cruisers get $25 at the casino cashier even if you don't gamble. Ready for any additional questions!

Well, Intrepid, do you have a theme sitcom? If you wanna get copious pages on your review, first come up with a sitcom theme. Preferably from the '90s. Then weave your favorite football team into your screen name. You'll probably have to change teams, WFT won't cut it. Have you considered the "Cardinals"? Very Catholic sounding! Something like Cardinal Intrepid. Then I'm thinking "Friends" could be your sitcom theme... Each chapter of your reviews could be titled, "The one where..." Anyway, loved your review and just throwing some spaghetti against the wall to see if any of it sticks. Carryon!!

The $25 free play is given as a Platinum/Diamond perk because they are not holding the Slots Tournament post-Covid. Just stop by the casino if you are Platinum/Diamond. Just one of the many perks you have to go get now. Add:I see now from your signature that you qualify. Unfortunately the only sitcom I ever loved was Seinfeld and St. Greg beat me to it. BTW I finally got around to looking at some of St. Greg's blogs outside of cruise critic and they are really amazing, very professional with no monkey business. As for football, I'm one of a kind - my favorite team is WFT, second favorite is Cowboys. Long story. Anyway, Cowboy's Stadium is Mecca for those who treat the NFL like religion.

sampsonsmom Posted November 3, 2021 #69 Share Posted November 3, 2021 Thank you for the review, we are scheduled in January out of Tampa. I noticed you mentioned how good the sushi in DC is, just wondering where you dine. We have been to the Salt Line in downtown DC and love it, but if you have other places to try, would appreciate the info. Sorry for going off topic🙂

Sorry for going off topic🙂 For high end, our fave is Nakazawa (although we don't like the location). We also love two others with Michelin Stars: Taro and Ogawa. Gyu Shige is probably our go-to because it has excellent sushi but even better korean bbq (if you like your bulgogi charred over open flame instead of wet, it's fantastic here). I haven't been to Salt Line but I just looked it up and it looks like it's between the baseball stadium and Anacostia River, not downtown. The photos of food on Yelp look tantalizing, those Clam Bellies really caught my eye. The reviews on both Yelp and TripAdvisor are good enough I would be happy to try it. Truth is there are many excellent sushi restaurants in DC, and also some of the "affordable" roll places. A sushi place in DC selling the quality of sushi at Bonsai on The Pride would not last unless their prices were as cut-rate as the quality of sushi. Now I'm starting to think about the sushi in Seattle, Vancouver and Manhattan. Yummm! Edited November 3, 2021 by IntrepidFromDC
