artlee Posted October 31, 2021 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2021 (edited) Hi, We are new to Oceania and taking the Dec 3rd Caribbean cruise. I notice that most of the ports require a PCR test no later than 3 days before entry. How will that work? Does Oceania offer those tests on board and will we be required to take multiple tests based on the 3 day requirement? Thanks for your thoughts. artlee Posted October 31, 2021 Author #2 Share Posted October 31, 2021 Also a little worried that we need a test before embarking with the same parameters of 3 days and I know that those results often take a bit longer to receive. Wondering if Oceania will provide testing before boarding and if they do is that a safer way to avoid the possible time delay of getting results. thanks
libert1 Posted October 31, 2021 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2021 Art O's Travel and Entry requirements page states: REQUIRED TESTING DURING YOUR VOYAGE Any testing that may be required by authorities to enter a port of call will be carried out aboard the vessel and will be complimentary. Additionally, Oceania Cruises will conduct complimentary antigen testing for all guests on the final day of the voyage. PCR testing will be available for those destinations that require it. This testing can be used to satisfy any requirements for onward travel after your voyage. Rare mauibabes Posted October 31, 2021 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2021 This is an easy one, we just happen to be on Riviera right now and we boarded in Athens for her return to sailing cruise. We got a test from Kaiser, our health care provider 72 hours before we flew to Athens. No problem, had the Negative result before we boarded the plane. You will get a Free COvid Test provided by Oceania as a condition of Embarkation in Miami. If you test negative, you will sail 🤪You will test again to disembark and if any other port of call on your itinerary requires it, you will test again. The process definitely tickles the nasal passages but it is all worthwhile to be able to sail on Riviera. Everything has been fantastic so just keep smiling and ENJOY. Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted October 31, 2021 #5 Share Posted October 31, 2021 Lots of CVS locations in Florida offer rapid tests (30 minutes) [and I assume that Walgreens, which seems to have a store on every intersection diagonally opposite CVS, does too!] We're signed up for one in Winter Park just before our January cruise, assuming it will still be required.

O “recommends” a pre-test within 72 hours prior to embarkation. But, it is required if you want O to cover your various related costs should you test positive at embarkation. So, YES, you need the “recommended” test before the embarkation test. Most major airports have testing labs (check with your air carrier) as do metro embarkation cities (check with your hotel concierge if you’re doing a land stays pre/post cruise). O will provide necessary testing required by various ports while you are cruising.
