Oh my! I love love love Half Moon Cay.  Thank you for posting the pics!

Too bad our Legend cruise will be going to Princess Cay (but I will not complain too much!)

Question for you...

Do you happen to know if Legend is doing early dining?

We booked only 30 days out and the only option was "Your time" or "Late Dining"

We like to eat at 6 p.m. (which is the usual early dining) on the same table.

We were on Horizon a while back and there was no early dining option. Wondering what the deal is with Legend.

Thank you!

Here are some pics I took of The Legend and it's beautiful new paint job as my water shuttle left. Note how higher up the gangway was than the water shuttle.  I never experienced that before.

That isn't a gangway, it's a platform for the crew to work from for line handling, etc.

Half Moon Cay is amazing enough to just enjoy the beach,  but here's a map showing how to use the walking trails to get to horseback riding, stingrays adventure, waverunners and other activities.

Thanks for the HMC pictures! We are finally scheduled to go there in February.

Is the beach a separate excursion?

I think the water temp may be a bit "cool" in February but its still a beautiful port!

DW just wants to sit in the sun, if we can go in the water it's a plus. And we'll want our step-granddaughter to enjoy time playing in the sand. We know that it will be warmer than here in Vermont.🙂

I searched that picture for a gangway near the waterline for quite a while.... then surmised it was on the other side of the ship and he posted the wrong picture.  It took a while to figure it out and start laughing...

The beach is a 3-minute walk from where the water shuttle drops you off but the more pristine beach (no rocks,  kelp, etc.) Is about a 100 yards down the beach, just past the Pirate Ship Bar.  Also quieter down there with many available lounge chairs. I like to spend some time in the active area but when I'm sunning and swimming I like the quieter area.

Small world, where in Vermont?  Have famy in Burlington area and we just rented an AirBnB in June in Plainfield for a wedding.

Breakfast on Lido offers a lot of quantity but quality is lacking.  Omelet tip: if you ask,  they'll make your omelet with fresh cracked eggs instead of the mystery eggs they pour from the Costco-size cartons out of sight. They'll also use olive oil instead of that nasty Pam spray.  Big difference in flavor.

Today we're in Freeport. We hired a group taxi today for $12 round trip with stops at Lucaya Market,  Lucaya Beach and Taino Beach... pics coming after lunch.  Highly recommend this over the Carnival excursion we did to Lucaya for $55/each a few years ago.

Enosburg Falls, in between St Albans and Newport. June in Vermont is a great time for a wedding!

If you crave bacon on a bacation day you can still get bacon every day in MDR breakfast and brunch. Or you can ask for triple bacon in your omelet.

That's what I was wondering about. I saw the Bacation sign in yours and Sid's reviews but I'm sure I ordered it every day in the MDR on Panorama.

For $12 round-trip, you can visit Taino Beach, the shopping center and straw market at Lucaya, and Lucaya Beach. The way this taxi system works is a little like a bus system.  There are taxi stands just outside the ship (even closer than the Carnival shops), at Lucaya and Taino. You pay $12 and board a group taxi (mimi-van) to go to  Taino or Lucaya (outbound taxis stop at both).  When you get to the destination of your choice the driver gives you a card for free taxi rides the rest of the day.  When you want to leave your first location you return to the dropoff spot and board another taxi, either back to the ship or to the other location (Taino or Lucaya). Cheap and easy, and some of the taxi drivers do a nice job playing tour guide...

Our first stop was Taino Beach.  $12 to get in but you're told that covers some of the water sports and other attractions.  There's a zipline but they don't tell you until after you paid the beach entrance fee it's been closed for a  couple years. It was packed,  dirty and the beach was ok.

Lucaya Beach was much nicer. No fee and walking distance to the shopping center (one of the nicest shopping centers I've seen in the  Caribbean, similar to a very large outlet mall). Probably 150 shops and restaurants from tshirt shops run by locals to Rolex shops and fine dining overlooking the beautiful harbor.

We got our "Negative" results today for our cruise on the Legend on Sunday.  You are right,  CVS is so easy (we had our results in 20 minutes)  Can't wait to see HMC next week!  Looks like your weather has been great, too.  Did you say you ate at the steakhouse?  We are planning to as well. Has the casino ben crowded every night?  I think our cruise next week is a premier so it's probably going to be packed.

Enjoy your the rest of your cruise!

Yes, the Steakhouse is sublime.  Remember that you can order 2 appetizers,  not just 1. Lobster bisque tastes like what you would get at an expensive restaurant in Manhattan or DC.

The weather has been great.

Casino has been very busy and smoky, even at the non-smoking table games, but this is an Ultra Cruise so you know to expect it.
