The_0ne Posted November 6, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2021 For those that have recently cruised the Caribbean in last few weeks/months on msc Were you allowed off the ship in port on your own or was it only allowed if on an msc excursion? Two Wheels Only Posted November 6, 2021 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2021 Fully vaccinated are free to go ashore in each port of call, including our exclusive private island, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, or enjoy one of our many offered shore excursions. Not fully vaccinated guests will not be allowed to go ashore unless they purchase a shore excursion through MSC Cruises. On Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, not fully vaccinated guests may spend the day as they wish or purchase one of our many offered shore excursions. Note, children 11 and younger will be considered not fully vaccinated for the purpose of shore excursions.

tunaman2011 Posted November 6, 2021 #4 Share Posted November 6, 2021 Greetings Just be aware that the rules today may not be the rules tomorrow. The world is still in a state of flux and the ports may change the rules at any time. Many that have already cruised have experienced the ever changing climate. The cruise lines are at the mercy of the local authorities and may have to adjust accordingly. Good Sailing Tom
racephoto Posted November 6, 2021 #5 Share Posted November 6, 2021 The answer is a hard……..maybe. Rules are changing in these ports day by day. I think Jamaica is one that’s kind of problematic, even if they let you off on your own, they have limits on where you can go. Also, if you’re traveling with unvaccinated kids, I believe you must go on an MSC excursion even if the kids aren’t with you.
