Linking Reservations for Dining?

Going on the Freedom in January with friends. We want to have dinner together in MDR. Can you still link reservations together to be seated as one party? Are there any downsides to doing this? We wont be boarding together (our arrival time is 12:00, others wont arrive until closer to 3pm), does that matter? I wasn't sure if by linking for dining, do they now consider it one party and we can't board until their unvaccinated kids clear testing.

Thanks

You can still link dining reservations. If they're still like they were in Sept they checked when we got to MDR to make sure we were all linked. But we had MTD.

You should have no problem checking in on your own. They're not linked to that degree. We checked in together and they were confused because we were all in our own cabins, but they said nothing about being linked when my friends were in different lines. We had 4 lines to wait in, so sometimes we were together and sometimes not.

I think the only downside is that if someone got covid they're going to be looking at the reservations linked to them.
