How is the Wind Spirt in Tahiti?

I’m planning an Oct 2023 Tahiti trip!

Ive been blessed to have sailed these Islands three times.

The Wind Song, and the Paul Gauguin twice. But that was years ago when each line was under different ownership.

Id like to know how the Wind Spirit is and if it would be a better choice over the PG.

By the way I sailed on the Star Breeze shake down cruise in June....food and crew were just wonderful.

WS or PG......thoughts?

Thanks

Tom

I've sailed both ships too and far prefer Wind Spirit (and sailed Windsong years back too!). There's just nothing like those sails opening in the skies and breeze. I agree with Avalong- the crew is fantastic. And the cruise line does everything right- dining, comfort, low key if you want, high energy if you want, perfect ambiance for a perfect location.

I was not one for the "Tahitian experience" on PG. it seemed forced and a bit hokey especially when you've already visited a few times.

But those sails on Wind Spirit get me every time.

Petoonya....

My first time in French Polynesia was on the Windsong....it was wonderful.

Then the next two trips were on the PG.

Not sure which line to take in 2023.....as a solo it might come down to price.

Wind Spirit just seems like it fits the location in my opinion.

If I didn’t have to limit my travel time because of my dog, I’d love to do the PG, disembark and walk across the pier and get on the Wind Spirit.

Decadence pure and simple🤪
