On embarkation - have staterooms been ready for occupancy right away?

I can't remember from my last cruise in 2019 whether I was able to go to the stateroom immediately.  We're on group A, 11:30.  I recall from some past cruises (perhaps a long time ago 😉 ) waiting on deck with our carry on small bags, grabbing a bite to eat while waiting for our stateroom to be ready.....

 

Luggage delivery is another story - not asking about that.

They were ready last week on the Caribbean Princess. I was the first new passenger to board (about 11:05) and went directly to my cabin.

Usually even if cabins are not fully ready you can drop off your carry on I do that and put valuables in safe then go have lunch.

On the Ruby earlier this month they were not and the security doors were closed.   Available around 1:00pm.

A few weeks ago on the Majestic, we boarded at 12:30 and went straight to our cabin.

Embarked on Majestic a couple of weeks ago.  Boarded around 11:10.  Cabins blocked off (fire doors closed) so no access until they opened around 12:15.

On the Enchanted for the Nov 30 departure rooms were ready hen we boarded at about 11:45.

I made it to my cabin on the Regal a week and a half ago about 12:30 PM and it was ready.  Obviously YMMV.
