kcparrothead Posted December 30, 2021 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2021 Will our proof of vax & covid test results from 4 days prior get us on the Red Hook ferry & back?
Rare crewsweeper Posted January 2, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2022 I'm hearing St Thomas is closed and cruise ships have canceled all excursions including St John excursions. If you are able to dock, you can probably catch a ferry at Red Hook too.

Rare crewsweeper Posted January 14, 2022 #4 Share Posted January 14, 2022 Harmony of the Seas was denied porting this past week. Ships need less than 1% positive testing including crew. Haven't heard of any ship docking there in past couple of weeks though.

I am not certain. However we were there from 12 PM until 8 PM in the evening so there were no tours offered from the cruise line to St. John. emerisland Posted January 29, 2022 #11 Share Posted January 29, 2022 I have been in St Thomas and St John for a few weeks. The ferry to St John is up and running. Remember to bring your mask

Reading that answer is also No…
beautifulbill Posted February 4, 2022 #13 Share Posted February 4, 2022 If your boat is allowed to dock then you can go by ferry to St. John. You will have to watch the time as you deal with a ferry and a taxi to get back to your ship.
the2006Junket Posted February 6, 2022 #14 Share Posted February 6, 2022 Hi, just returned from St John (passing though St. Thomas to go to the airport). I saw Harmony of the Seas in Port. Yes, you can take a ferry from the same Crown Bay port as where the ship docked. https://www.interislandboatservices.com/products/cruz-bay-to-crown-bay-2 Or take a taxi to Red Hook and take the hourly ferry over to St. John. Enjoy!
blue_water Posted February 7, 2022 #15 Share Posted February 7, 2022 (edited) Still wondering if day visitors can go anywhere on their own? Bill do you know the current situation for cruise passengers (in re to COVID-19 protocols)… Edited February 7, 2022 by blue_water

Bill do you know the current situation for cruise passengers (in re to COVID-19 protocols)… I do see in Celebrity’s requirements (thanks for sharing Wendy) that vaccinated passengers can take self-excursions, while unvaccinated or inadequately vaccinated must take ship-sponsored excursions, which many now do not include STJ because of the ferry transfer… Celebrity’s verbiage regarding vaccines is a bit confusing because of a couple terms used, and I’m sure all cruise lines have their own requirements….Folks researching various cruises and cruise lines have to be very thorough in order to understand the actual requirements and options…
beautifulbill Posted February 13, 2022 #17 Share Posted February 13, 2022 If the ship is allowed to dock then you can go to St. John on your own. Most of the ships are not offering any excursions so your own your own and need to watch your time.
