Sensation 4 Person Interior

Has anyone ever stayed in a 4 person interior on the Sensation (or similar class) and can you share your experience? I know it will be tight, but I'm considering taking our kids over spring break and my husband has a very good casino rate available to him which makes it a lot less expensive than any other room on the ship. In fact, without the rate, we wouldn't be considering sailing at all. Also, does anyone have pictures with both upper pullmans in use? My other concern is that my kids (especially my daughter) get nervous in upper bunks, but both are old enough to use them. I want to show them pictures and see if they would be comfortable with it.

On that class instead of coming out of ceiling, the bunks are set into the walls with braces on the side angled down. For me I hated them because I read in bed and couldnt due to lack of good light and the braces are in the way of the lower beds. I did a gty so cant complain about getting a quad, solo but hated it personally.

But vs staying home I'd do it again. That class also has a big step up into the bathrooms imo.

I think it is very doable.  It's cramped and requires compromise and planning though.  My family of four always rooms in quad cabins.  I do prefer the larger OV cabins (of special PT, 4J, or 4K "interior" cabins).  Please also understand, we have traveled in the tiny overnight sleepers on Amtrak and have made a 16-day RV trek across the US with six of us in a 31' motorhome.

Here is a link to one of my cruise reviews showing wo options for IS quad cabin set up on the fantasy class ships:  Go to page 3, post #59, if the link doesn't take you directly there.

Honestly, my kids may like that better because they might not be as high up. It's the heights that make them nervous.

We have stayed in a similar cabin on another Fantasy class ship and considering most people do not spend a lot of time in the cabin, it should work fine. I am not sure how old the kids are but most kids enjoy the bunks. I even spend some time in one to check it out and to get my young child to sleep. If you have a cabin number a computer search should provide pictures of the cabin.

My kids are 13 and 9 but they are weird and don't like things that other kids like lol.

I had the pleasure of inviting my Grandkids and their parents on a Fantasy class cruise. They survived four to a cabin, but it was cramped, and it looked it.  Main thing was trying to find the bathroom without placing a foot in someone's face. 🤪

Its doable but very tight.  My brother, SIL and 2 kids (pre teen ages) booked one a couple years ago.  Very tight but brother and nephew always used the bathrooms and showers in the men's gym locker room to reduce the chaos of shower time and dressing each day.  Made things way more doable in that cabin.
