This thread has devolved way off topic.

 

OP, I think it is great to have a back up plan. Any other cruise or a beach trip would be great options. If I already had scheduled time off, and was in Florida, I would try for another cruise or rent a car and head down to Key West. Way better than hanging out in the cold Northeast.
