Nieuw Amsterdam Jan 8th sailing cancelled?

I Just saw a posting on FB today with a photo of an offical letter stating that the Jan 8th sailing on Nieuw Amsterdam has been cancelled.  The letter offered to have the passengers move to the Jan 9th sailing of the Rotterdam.  Anyone with more info on this?

I saw the same post.  I just looked at the roll call and someone confirmed the cancellation.

really would love to see that announcement We are booked on her on the 14th for a music charter. About ready to pull the plug using my travel insurance at a 75% payback. Could make a big difference if the sailing on the 8th is cancelled-possibilities are endless if that is true.

HAL"s letter mentions a back- to-back charter that rescheduled to later dates.  Was the Jan. 8 cruise a charter as well as the Jan 15 sailing ?    The next departure, Jan 29th, isn't a charter.

The January 8 cruise on the Nieuw Amsterdam was a regular not charter cruise. Today we have been given the option to move to the Rotterdam on January 9 or cancel and receive payment returned. We plan to do the Rotterdam cruise.

2022 Jan 15    7 days, round-trip The Country Music Cruise

We had to cancel an early Jan trip on NS due to covid exposure.  Resked for NA on 5 FEB.  

 

What does Gus mean by "reposition" the NA?  Does that mean just hang out somewhere?
