Escape - Dec 10-17 2022 (not rollcall related)

hello to anyone reading this.  Just wondering is anyone know if there is some sort of event happening on this cruise?:  I have it booked, and family members are thinking about going but the only regular balcony rooms that are available are guarantee room.  Seems really strange this far out.

TIA!

I saw a similar thing on a RCCL Cruise that we have booked. We thought it might be in danger of being cancelled so we checked with our TA.

The explanation was that because of the uncertainties of capacity levels the cruise line was holding cabins back from sale - so they don’t sell 90% of the rooms, and then only be able to sail at 60% capacity, or the like. The cabins will be released when capacity levels are confirmed.

Loosely said, there could be "Group Booking(s)" that have a large number(s) of balcony staterooms.

Or, there could be a partial charter.

Or, there are plenty of people who have rebooked cruises further into 2022 to placemark a cruise with FCC. So, that is also a possibility of why their are lower numbers of certain rooms.

Given what has been in the global news in the past 2+ years now, I would not be concerned about any group charters ... and worry about what's unseen, invisible and floating in the air this late Fall/early Winter (and, happening now ... whether it's going to repeat or transition, fade away, etc.)  Too much unknowns, it appeared.  Patience, flexibility and just be mindful of deadlines - if only fortune tellers and crystal balls are better in predicting than rolling the dices, just roll with it.
