I put a little first aid/medicine kit together when we travel. I take some band aids, Neosporin, pain reliever/fever reducer, Benedryl, cold medicine, Imodium, burn relief, etc. It sure has come in handy at times. I had a plastic case I got at Wal-Mart (look in the school supplies) and it all fit nicely. Too bad I forgot it on our last cruise before we left!

flip flops for the pool

batteries/charger for digital camera

sunglasses

if you are flying you can't take aerosol cans of spray so buy it when you get to where you are going.

you may want to invest in some downy wrinkle release. it really works. comes in a big bottle so maybe buy a smaller one and tape it shut. then put it in a baggie. i don;t usually go for this kind of thing, but i use it all the time at home too.....i hate ironing!

fold-up tote bag to lug stuff home. they have a nice one at target for about 10 bucks.

book/magazine just in case!

and most importantly, an open mind! have a great trip, let us know all about it when you return.

If you're going to the western Caribbean, we've been told to bring bug spray with deet. Just in case of mosquitos, sand fleas, etc.

Hmmm. Maybe that depends on the time of the year. We have always cruised during March and April and have never had mosquitos. JMHO.

You don't need hangers, don't forget your passport and other important documents, and make sure one of those dresses is dressy enough for formal night.
Make copies of your important docuements, and keep them separate from originals. Metrowon

Thanks everyone!

Found our bottle of OFF bug spray last night and have that packed.

Picked up some hand sanitizer, lysol wipes, small thing of clothes detergent, travel size toothpaste and soap, some crystal light mixes to add to a water bottle.

I still have this nagging feeling that I am forgetting something! I HATE that feeling.

After reading up on the Belize and Roatan boards, I'll take the bug spray regardless of whether I see bugs or not. Rather be safe than sorry.

I've also heard of people taking wet naps - like baby wipes - to clean their hands, etc., on the beach. Not sure if that's essential, but if you don't like sand, maybe helpful.
