Extending a cruise

Last Dec there was a offer in the daily paper to book the following cruise.   There were no deals as far as pricing but they offered $200 extra On board credit.

Not a deal and the next cruise from the reviews I read had less than 600 passengers

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

I've not done it but know of some friends that have.      I believe you  have to do it before X number of hours prior to second leg as there is a requirement to file the manifest with CBP.

I also saw a couple in Retreat trying to extend the day of turnaround and they were denied after waiting on the concierge repeated calls to Miami.   I think it had to do with the lack of time.

On our cruise to Alaska (one-way north bound) during 9/11 they did in fact offer the return sailing at a very reduced rate (imagine---no one able to fly to Anchorage to join the southbound leg).  Having a 16-month on board with us was probably the main reason we chose not to---the dwindling supply of diapers (and a touch of norovirus) didn't help either.
