I’m curious on this one.  Might depend on  demand that trip.  Also, if he is small that might help.  If he is big for his age, I’d guess it will be a no go regardless.

Maybe it will all click for him in the next month and he will ditch the diaper, but boys can be stubborn.

Unfortunately, if in a swim diaper he can’t use the normal splash pad or pools and the baby splash pads can be quite small for a 3 year old.

Ha ha, we leave in two days. I did you with the idea of trying a potty training boot camp but that will probably back fire. He is not very big for his age and he is also very sweet and calm so maybe they will let him through. He is still very baby … I bet he likes the baby splash pads. It honestly will probably be too cool for swimming anyway.

I hear you.  My 4 year old son wasn’t potty trained at 3 either.  He is also a sweet boy but on the big side.  So those diapers got really big and expensive.   I never knew they went to size 7 when our daughter became potty trained a few years ago.  😂😂😂

If child is with you, they treat you pretty badly these days. Think something similar to walking around ship with big bell around your neck, yelling, “unclean, unclean”.

This wasn’t our experience at all. People were as nice as ever to my two children

Didn't experience this one bit! They treated our little one like royalty! We always stayed in areas where we were supposed to but even just out and around the ship, crew would literally go out of their way to stop and interact with her.

We are just off the ship with our toddler and 7 year old, so please feel free to ask any questions I don’t answer here.

Adventure Ocean and Royal Tots & Babies nursery were both open but with very limited capacity. On our three-day cruise, we were only allowed one guaranteed reservation for the entire trip.

We could try to drop in to other sessions in the hopes of a no-show but it was next to impossible to drop in. So many crying kids turned away who desperately wanted to attend the kids club and could not. It was so sad.

But the one session my older kid attended was great (great staff) and the Royal Tots nursery staff was also wonderful. Both kids had a great time for their one visit.

We won’t be sailing again until Royal Caribbean ups the kids club capacity so our children can attend freely without so much stress.

A lot of venues and activities on the ship were designated as vaccinated only so we couldn’t attend with our children with us. Some shows were vaccinated only, as well. For instance, the ice show had a 6pm showing but it was vaccinated only so we couldn’t attend. We attended the 8:30pm show, which was rough on the kids but it was our only option (tried unsuccessfully to get them into the kids club that night).

The splash pad and pools were open for the kids with no capacity restrictions but unfortunately the water was freezing so almost no one used these for our trip.

We didn’t do any specialty dining but I believe unvaccinated are allowed in all but Chops (someone correct me if I’m wrong).

Glad you had a good time despite the limited AO hours...so hope this improves as we go further.

This is super helpful .But I guess my question is for example if the child is in the Kids club would we be able to go to one of the unvaccinated venues like the casino or Comedy club?

Yes, if your child is not with you, you can go in "vaccinated only " areas.

Just off the Odyssey a few weeks ago. We had our 3 yo daughter with us. Vaccinated adults still receive vaccinated wrist bans and are allowed in vaccinated only areas w/o child. Main dining room you will be limited to assigned dining 1st or 2nd seating, no my time allowed. Each ships venues differ vaccinated vs unvaccinated but most specialty restaurants are everyone allowed. Adventure Ocean is open. Ship census will dictate how difficult it is to get your child/children into the club. You will be guaranteed a certain amount of time at adventure ocean for the sailing, we were on for 8 days and it was 8 hours guaranteed. Because of the low child count on our sailing, we could walk in at anytime though and not have any issues. Pools, splash pads and other activities are operating normally. Unvaccinated children are allowed at certain shows that are for vaccinated and unvaccinated. All in all, it seemed almost normal. If you have any questions or I can answer anything specific, feel free to ask!

One question if you know nothing related at all to kids …. We’re you able to book shows and dining on board or we’re all the reservations gone ?  Do you have any experience with this

We booked the ice show via the app as soon as we boarded and were able to get the show we were eligible to attend (the one where unvaccinated passengers are allowed). The other shows did not require reservations. We didn’t book any restaurant reservations this trip so no help there.
