Advice for hotel and parking in Southampton

Hi we are doing British Isles cruise on 2nd June. We normally travel by coach from Newcastle to Southampton we have not travelled by car before so not sure what we do with cases do we drop them off before we park etc or use hotel that offers parking? I am looking for some hotel and parking recommendations and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We book one of the Premier Inns, and then  use CPS or Parking4cruises the next day for car parking.

We've also used Parking4Cruises in the past and will do for our next cruise in June. Last time, the P4C drop-off place was opposite the ship. So we dropped our bags at the cruise terminal (there were porters who take them off you) and then drove over the road to hand over the car. It was an efficient process and the P4C guy checked over the car, photographing it so there was evidence that any damage was not their fault. I think they have secure storage away from the port but the car was ready to go when we disembarked.

 

Last time we stayed at a really nice hotel near Winchester. This time we've booked a nice place in the New Forest at Brockenhurst (Carey's Manor Hotel). Both offer a nice dinner, leisurely "Full English" and a 30/40 minute to the port. Not the cheapest, of course, but something that sets us up for cruising.

Thank you, I have booked a night at the harbour hotel and we can leave our car with the hotel for £6pd. They have a car which if available will take us to the cruise ship and pick us up on our return a taxi if the car is not available, They will also have our car ready for return back at the hotel.
