Rare joern Posted March 7, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2022 Hi Now that the covid issue is almost over, does anyone know if or when NCL will remove the restrictions in Europe? Don't feel like wearing a mask when inside on a cruise ship
Rare steamboats Posted March 7, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2022 It´s not up to NCL... it´s a recommendation of the EU health authority which has been adapted by all EU countries. So far there has been no change. Most of the EU countries still have masks mandatory in inside venues. steamboats
bmwman Posted March 7, 2022 #3 Share Posted March 7, 2022 Tenerife now considering dropping requirement and so are Spain therefore. UK airlines are also now dropping requirement - Jet2 first and its popular and Easyjet not enforcing on board at all.
Rare steamboats Posted March 8, 2022 #4 Share Posted March 8, 2022 Even when the masks are not mandatory on land anymore (inside venues) they might still be mandatory on cruise ships. It´s a separate regulation. BTW, Lufthansa still requires medical masks (or FFP2/KN95). Here in Germany we still have to wear FFP2/KN95 masks in indoor venues and public transportation. steamboats

Don't feel like wearing a mask when inside on a cruise ship Even though we in Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark) dropped the mask requirements already a few weeks ago and are considering the pandemic now to be "just a seasonal flu" and not a dangerous pandemic due to very high numbers of vaccinated inhabitants, it is likely that the rest of Europe may take a little longer. Allthough some other countries are now considering loosing up in the rules and regulations in regards to Covid, it seems to be great variations in the plans for the EU countries in Southern Europe.
