Cabins on Monarch Countess

Greetings! Booking a river cruise on the Seine though Gate one. Not sure which cabin to get - the base price is level E with $200 increase per person for each level up to level A.  Anyone out there been on this ship? If so, what cabin were in in and how did you like it? Any recommendations? Thank You!!!

An E class cabin is on the lowest level, with a fairly small window high on the wall. Except for the suites, all other cabins are the same size and are French balcony cabins. The only differences between them are location (deck and distance from bow of ship). Sometimes, being too close to the engines in the stern can be a bit noisy for some.

We’ve sailed with Uniworld, Viking and Gate 1.  We had a lower deck/port hole room on one Viking cruise only because of timing for the cruise and itinerary. Wasn’t the best room.  It was noisy and when we docked in some ports we only saw the dock…I mean the below water wood part…. I love being able to watch the scenery going by even during the evening.  If you’re doing your first river cruise make it the best experience.  Im jealous…you’re going to love this itinerary, it’s spectacular.  Enjoy!
