Casino Comp'd Cruise

If you do see free play shown in the Onboard Credits section as suggested above, you can call Princess to find out the rest of the details for your offer.  Some are discounted cruises only, some include a free cabin.  My offers have stopped by the way so I'm thinking that those of us who received them for the first time during the pandemic only got them temporarily so they could fill the ships.  I have had the discounts for years and still have that so I'm satisfied with that.

Were can I see the $200 non refundable deposit/converted OBC  for comp room in booking confirmation? It does not show under OBC in booking confirmation or on travel summery?
TIA

Update: I found the $200 OBC listed under services in travel summery but not under OBC. Is that sufficient? First time booking comp cruise with Princess.

Also after reading this thread can I purchase Water and Internet through Cruise Planner  or do I need to call Casino Department? Don't want to add stuff and booking cancels. Thanks

You can order water through the Cruise Personalizer and internet on the Medallion app.  This will not cancel your cruise.

Just do not book air without calling the casino department because that will get your cruise canceled… Been there, done that.

If you see the obc listed then it should be fine; I wouldn’t worry.

Enjoy your cruise!

Yes, if you see it on the Travel Summary you are all set.  It should also appear in the Onboard Services section of the Cruise Personalizer too and will be available onboard for you but not pre-cruise.

You can add water to the booking yourself or pretty much anything else but personally I would still avoid adding EZAir.  Princess has FINALLY changed the way they configure these bookings so that they now show as "paid in full" after you pay thus eliminating the (ridiculous) situation where some bookings cancelled when the casino did not pay their share. These bookings sometimes "lost" the protection after EZAir was purchased through the Personalizer and could cancel the next day.  If your booking has been handled the new way you should see paid in full with no balance due on the Booking Confirmation and it shouldn't cancel if you buy EZAir through the Personalizer (and some have reported successfully doing this).  Still having had one of these cancel in the past following purchase of EZAir I would be nervous about doing it myself and would call.

Thank you very much this info. Booking shows paid in full so it must been the new way. I booked online and placed the cruise on hold and noticed the wrong free play was applied. I called in and the casino department changed code and I paid the deposit.  First time booking a comped cruise with Princess. I had a hard time understanding the representative. Just want to make sure I did not miss anything.

These bookings can be a challenge to say the least.  They "offshored" the casino reservations staff to the Philippines last fall and it's been a struggle ever since then.  Some reps seem pretty capable but it can be frustrating to work with many of them as they can't seem to provide answers to basic questions or fix simple things.  What they can't do goes to "escalation" which I liken to a black hole where casino bookings go to die LOL. I do think that Princess is aware of the problems and is working on making the process better but it has been very slow going.

I booked a November 4 cruise with casino free offer. I need flight home at end of cruise. Will it be a problem if I book my flight directly with airline not ez air?

I can’t think of any reason it would be a problem.  The issue with EZ Air is that it’s a modification to your Princess booking.  If that isn’t done by a Casino agent, your booking may get messed up (since regular agents may not properly capture Casino booking specific details).  Booking your flight with the airline has no impact on your Princess booking.

Not a problem at all.  In fact you need to pay right away when you book EZAir on a casino comped cruise and if there's not a difference in price it makes sense to go with the airlines.  That's what I've been doing for my last couple of comped trips.

Although even with the casino booking issues (had a cruise of my own cancelled last year when I booked EZAir online, before I knew this issue existed) EZAir can be hard to resist on for international (or at least intercontinental) routes.

If you can find flights with discounted inventory available, Princess' bulk rates can be a big savings over the prices you get through any other booking channel, especially in premium cabins.

But definitely for domestic flights I've never seen any price advantage for booking through EZAir.  The hassle of an EZAir reservation on a casino booking makes it a no-brainer for me to book directly with the airlines.  I already buy annual travel insurance, so I don't need EZAir's 'guarantee ' if you miss your cruise due to flight issues.
