I heard on another post that footrest have been removed on balcony cabins on Equinox. Not sure of the details. As always, if available in other class cabins, never hurts to ask your steward if he can dig up one.

Exactly what we do, we ask our Cabin Steward for 2 and offer 5 dollars for each. Never failed yet and it's a great start to our relationship with him/her.

If the cabin steward is not able to find a foot rest, does he/she still get the $5 for trying?

We were on a cruise three weeks ago and Equinox was right next to us.  We noticed that the lower three levels of verandahs had no foot rest.  Only the higher upper levels had a foot rest.  Maybe Celebrity is trying to save some $$$….

It's never happened, 100% success rate.

Before adopting this system we have used the basket under the bed that holds the life jackets. Not as convenient but better than nothing.

We were on Equinox in December and there were footrests on our Aqua balcony.

Generally Aqua class and Concierge class cabins are on decks 9 and above. The balconies on the decks you saw were most likely regular verandahs which don't include the footrests,
