Daily testing = no sleeping in on Viking cruise vacation?

Coincidence or not, but that was the only day we left our samples outside the door.  All other times, if we were still in the room, they were picked up around 08:15. How did these other couples get away with doing their spit test in the evening and leaving their samples outside their doors?   Isn't it Viking's rule to do your spit test in the morning?  Maybe these couples should have been thrown off the ship for breaking the rules.  LOL  Just kidding!

Viking doesn't specify you must provide the sample in the AM. You can provide the sample anytime after the cabin steward delivers the tubes, provided you have nothing to eat/drink for at least an hour. They collect them in the morning.

As long as you rinse your mouth with a good IPA right before you generally have no trouble with the spittoon.....🍺  Great test results too...

Provided it is rinse & swallow, wouldn't want to waste good IPA😁

Of course.  Me Mum raised me to clean my plate at every meal.  I took it to mean glasses as well....🍺

I suppose if you do a saliva test regularly every 24 hours, it shouldn’t matter at what time of the day it is done. Throwing rule breakers off the ship is acceptable, however doing it over the side that’s docked at port may be hard….literally

Gee, on my November cruise on Viking I was under the impression that you had to do it in the morning.  they kept reminding everyone to not drink water or brush you teeth in the AM before spitting. Hmmm
