Cruise One Way Barcelona to Italy?

Does anyone have first hand experience with this? Instead of very lengthy train travel, should I consider booking a one way cruise?

It seems like the two major carriers are equally panned on Trip Advisor, but my experience has not been consistent with TA.

I am very grateful for any thoughtful insight. Thank you!

I hope you aren’t referring to Viking being panned!  In our opinion they are heads above the others - but that’s because they have a niche market we like.  Casual, no children, no casinos, nearly all inclusive so no nickel dining, no photographers, emphasis on education, let in, and history lectures….  If those aren’t for you don’t bother.

we did Rome to Barcelona last December.  Spectacular cruise.  Would do it again!

No- As far as I can tell, these are ferry services and not true cruise lines. They have rooms just like a standard cruise line but offer shorter trips and also carry vehicles.

My feeling is relatively few Americans have gone anywhere near these lines.

So are you looking at cruises or at ferries?
