CruiseBride926 Posted April 2, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2022 We are sailing next week and I’m setting up testing. 3/4 of us are vaccinated but my youngest is still too young. I booked him for a PCR test for 3 days out but noticed that Walgreens has rapid NAAT tests that they say counts as PCR. I would assume that would mean yes but just want to see if anyone has any actual experience with it.

Grankm21 Posted April 2, 2022 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2022 Wondering the same thing. I assume the Walgreens NAAT test is accepted, but would love confirmation from someone whose young, unvaxed child has actually used the test for boarding. easyqueasy Posted April 2, 2022 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2022 Yes, NAAT tests are accepted. Our healthcare provider tests with the NAAT standard, but left out the CLIA number (Royal didn’t check for that from my experience). They were asked to put that in the documents and they provided as requested. The document was labeled NAAT (full name) using Abbott ID Now. I assume Walgreens uses the same, but I can’t speak for it. The person just checked the date and actually said it was no good since it was done three days ahead vs two days. They didn’t even look at what test were performed. The test done at the pier that day is the one that they cared more about.
